    12 Record Management Assistants Jobs at Tanzania Electric Supply Company (TANESCO)


    JOB DETAILS:
      The Tanzania Electric Supply Company (TANESCO) is focusing on increasing the outreach and service quality of its Energy products for Tanzanian people. Next to its current passion as a leading provider of electricity is to be more efficient customer focused utility for Tanzania and beyond. The Company has the largest electricity generation, transmission and distribution network in Tanzania. 

    In order to reach its goals, the Company will, in the coming years invest heavily in its generation, transmission and distribution network, its business systems and human capital. TANESCO now invites applicants who are self-motivated, honest, hardworking and committed individuals to fill the under-mentioned posts for Specified Period Employment Contract for the Financial Year commencing 1st July 2019 to 30th June, 2020 in Northern Zone. The zone comprises of Manyara, Kilimanjaro, Tanga and Arusha regions.
    Position: Record Management Assistant (10 Posts)
    Report To: Regional Human Resources Officer/ Zhrg
    Workstation: Arusha (2), Kilimanjaro (2), Tanga (2), Manyara (2) Regions And Zonal Office (2).
     
    POSITION OBJECTIVE:
    Provide efficient and effective support for records management activities and contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of improved systems and processes. Ensure the integrity of document and records management systems through, advice, monitoring and reporting on system usage.
     
    REMUNERATION

    All Candidates must:

    • Be capable of delivering excellent results while working under pressure with tight deadlines;
    • Possess knowledge and competency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) applications.
    • Possess problem solving skills.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Provide an efficient and effective records management system that is in accordance with company policy and legal requirements for document management and retention.
    • Administer and keep in safe custody for quick retrieval of the company electronic and hard documents to ensure the safe and effective accessibility of the documents.
    • Provide expertise guidance, advice and support to ensure efficient quality Processes on information, records, storage, retrieval, retention and destruction which comply with company policy and legal requirements.
    • Participate in the development and improvement of departmental records management systems.
    • Contribute to the development, and administer the implementation of operational strategies associated with documents and records management.
    • Enhance safety matters to ensure safety to employees, customers and equipmen

      KEY KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE JOB
    ▪ Diploma in Record Management, or its equivalent from reputable institution
    ▪ Academic Certificate of Secondary Education (Form IV or VI) (Not School Leaving Certificate or result slips).
    ▪ Computer knowledge and skill in IT Systems is compulsory.
    ▪ Good understanding of administrative laws is added advantage.
    ▪ At least one-year work experience in Administration field.
