    14 Customer Relations Officers (Ossc &District) Jobs at Tanzania Electric Supply Company (TANESCO)


    JOB DETAILS:
      The Tanzania Electric Supply Company (TANESCO) is focusing on increasing the outreach and service quality of its Energy products for Tanzanian people. Next to its current passion as a leading provider of electricity is to be more efficient customer focused utility for Tanzania and beyond. The Company has the largest electricity generation, transmission and distribution network in Tanzania.

     In order to reach its goals, the Company will, in the coming years invest heavily in its generation, transmission and distribution network, its business systems and human capital. TANESCO now invites applicants who are self-motivated, honest, hardworking and committed individuals to fill the under-mentioned posts for Specified Period Employment Contract for the Financial Year commencing 1st July 2019 to 30th June, 2020 in Northern Zone. The zone comprises of Manyara, Kilimanjaro, Tanga and Arusha regions.
     
    Position: Customer Relations Officer (Ossc &District)
    Reports To: District Manager/Rcro
    Workstation: Arusha&Karatu (3 Posts); Kilimanjaro (Regional Office 1, Hai – 1, Mwanga -1, Same -1, Rombo -1 & Himo District -1post); And Tanga (Regional Office-2, Lushoto District-1, Korogwe -1, & Muheza-1 Post).
     
    POSITION OBJECTIVE
    Implements marketing, customer services strategy, guidelines and provide administrative support to ensure marketing, communication and customer service functions are rendered effectively to attain customer satisfaction and delight in the Region/District.
     
    REMUNERATION

    • Possess knowledge and competency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) applications.

      DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Coordinate and supervise operation of “One Stop Shop Centre” of the Region/District and ensure all services are offered as per customer Service manners, rules and regulations.
    • Establish and maintain customers’ database of the district as per customer’s distribution network feeders or wards.
    • Implement marketing, communication, customer relations plans and strategies in order to attain and retain customers.
    • Assist on formulation of strategies for networking and maintaining relationship with customers in order to determine problems they encounter and recommend cause of actions to management.
    • Assist in Designing and preparation of programs, promotions and awareness campaigns on new businesses opening and services.
    • Administer the implementation of “Corporate Customer Service Charter” and ensure its compliance.
    • Implement customer service survey feedback to ensure excellent customer care services is given to our clients and their needs are responded timely.
    • Adhere safety matters in the department to ensure safety to employees, customers and equipment.

    KEY KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE JOB:
    ▪ Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Customer Services and Business Administration from a recognized Higher Learning Institution.
    ▪ Academic Certificate of Secondary Education (Form IV or VI) (Not School Leaving Certificate or result slips).
    ▪ Computer knowledge and skill in IT Systems is compulsory.
